“ Updating original review several years later: The Tin Lantern is under new ownership and they haven’t missed a beat. We just finished another wonderful meal there, enjoying great service and fine food at the bar. Original review: Haven't had a bad meal here yet. Haven't had an average meal here. We've been at least six times and every experience has been great. The bourbon selection is one of the best in the foothills. Staff is great, service is nicely paced, and the menu is a nice mix of comfort and upscale. Definitely worth the drive to Meadow Vista. ”

“ My wife and I both got the lasagna, and it was great. We were pleased because it was a good-sized portion, and it wasn't too rich with sauce as some can be. It's very clean and not a 5lb gut bomb. The beat salad was very large and perfect to share. I had a margarita which was good. Being that everything was tasty, I'll be back for a steak because I feel confident it will be worthy. I BBQ my own quite often, and so if I order one out, it better be good, Stay tuned... My photo was after we dug into the meal, so the salad was bigger than what it shows. ”

“ The burger was good. Needed some more seasoning for my taste. Good soft bun. The fries were well cooked. Just enough crispness to them. Wedge salad was a good size for a starter. The blood orange margarita stole the show. Great flavor, nice color. Tasted delicious. I'm looking forward to trying other menu items. ”

“ While working in the area, numerous people recommended my husband and I dine here. They were not wrong!!!! Upon arriving, there was limited parking, but fortunately, someone was leaving, so we managed to get "rockstar parking" right in front. We made reservations ahead of time but came early to have pre dinner drinks. The bar area is fairly small, but we again managed to get seats at the bar shortly after arriving. The environment is pleasant, nothing special about the decor but nice enough. We were greeted and served by the bartender shortly after sitting at the bar. A young man was one of our bartenders and was fabulous. Our glasses never sat empty. He was on the ball. We had our dinner on the patio, and it was perfect. The weather was great, and heaters were turned on upon the sun going down. I'm so glad we chose the patio as it seemed more cozy than inside. The meal.....ohhh the meal!!!! We each ordered steaks and they were cooked to perfection. I mean perfection. Everything was perfect! We truly enjoyed each and every one of our staff members who helped us. We had different servers throughout our meal ie..taking our order, bringing our food etc.. I can't wait to come back again! Thank-you for the great evening. ”

“ Really exceptional food. Service was excellent. We shared a grilled artichoke. Yum. Salads were fresh. Our entrees were all delicious. Two members of our table enjoyed perfectly cooked filets with fresh vegetables, two other members of the group had chicken masala which was really good. The place was a tad noisy. Highly recommend this place if you find yourself in Meadow Vista CA. ”

“ Looking for a restaurant to enjoy a delicious meal. The Tin Lantern Bar and Grill has everything you've always wanted to eat. They have a high-quality pub menu with fresh ingredients. The steak salad (18.00) was generously portioned and prepared to perfection. The grilled artichoke (13.00) was bursting with flavor. The beer and wine section is from the surrounding area and they have a full service bar. This isn't a great date spot, but it is an excellent place to enjoy a healthy, hearty meal.
